About Havoc And Critics

About Havoc And Critics

Post 1770:

Speaking as someone who has made a lot of stuff, I understand when things don’t work out so well. Not everything realizes in the real world the way it did in your head. Even if the art you produce is something good, many people will not find it to their liking or taste. There is subjectivity, of course.

Objectivity exists as well. And Havoc is objectively bad. I don’t want to write about how bad it was, because it’s simple. Either they tried real hard or they didn’t and they made a bad movie. I call it a movie to be generous.

I went onto Rotten Tomatoes to see what professional critics were saying. Many, more than half, say it’s good enough. These people are paid to look at pictures with sound and tell other people what’s what. I understand making a bad movie. I cannot understand how an honest person that has any familiarity with story, plot, character, or common sense could come away with positive feedback here.

Maybe I’m not the functioning person with a functioning brain I thought I was. This is possible. More likely, most critics are terrible and should get different jobs.

Trying my best to be fair, perhaps most people are terrible at their jobs. This can’t be right, though. Surely the world would be in a state of terrible and painful folly and flux. There would be starvation. There would be wars started and protracted for flimsy reasons. There would be disharmony and, I dare say, corruption.

What I’m trying to say is that almost every problem in the world is the fault of critics who gave Havoc a positive review. They have to be stopped, if not for us then for the children.

Get a real job, critics. And before I’m accused of criticizing the critics, I already have a real job. It’s not real either. Cheers and see you after.
