About Carolina Caroline

Seeing as how I put out a novel last year about a couple who do scams and cons, I feel educated enough to relay my thoughts on the new crime/romance film, Carolina Caroline.

Ah, good movies. I’ve seen a few this year. This was one of those. Unlike my story, this isn’t complex narratively. It’s more about the relationship between the seasoned con artist and his new love and accomplice. They are fools in love, as they say, and you believe when you’re watching.

It’s a simple story told well. A little humor, a lot of heart, and no reinventing of the wheel. It’s like some grownups who gave a crap got together and decided to make a movie.

I want to say more but just see the thing. It’s available to stream right now and you won’t be sorry unless you hate light and life. Embracers of darkness might not love it.

Boy meets girl. Girl goes with boy. You know how it goes. But you don’t. That’s why you should see it immediately. Stop watching From and Landman. Those are for the darkness people.
